Black Liberation 1969 Archive

Federal Bureau of Investigation

In the spring of 1971, a break-in at the FBI office in the nearby town of Media revealed extensive surveillance on Swarthmore College. In particular the FBI had files on every black student enrolled at the College. This exhibit contains Marilyn Allman Maye’s FBI file, which she retrieved under the Freedom of Information Act, as well as Robert Cross’ papers regarding the incident.
